Spring cleaning gets a bad rap, yet we all feel a lot better after we spend a couple hours catching up on chores and getting the house ready for spring. Your car should get ready too. After months of getting sprayed with road salt and getting roughed up in pot holes, your car deserves some TLC as well.

Below are 5 easy tips to follow this spring to get your car ready for the coming months.

Take Care of Your Undercarriage

Depending on where you live, your car has likely been exposed to salt, and other grime that can accumulate underneath your car and cause erosion, not only to the body and chassis, but also valves, hoses, belts and brakes.

Go to a car wash that does a thorough undercarriage wash, or use a garden hose with as much pressure as possible to get rid of all of those lovely winter leftovers. Your car will reward you with a longer life and fewer trips to the shop.
