A Message to Our Customers, Friends and Family
It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter. Very recently, we lost a member of the BBack Family. Bob Back, my father and founder of BBack Car Care passed away on November 9, 2019. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer approximately 5 years ago. My dad went through chemotherapy, radiation and surgeries and did well for about 3 years. However, you may have noticed in recent months that Bob was not down at the shop as often due to a recurrence of the cancer.
Bob became very close with many of you and considers so many of you good friends – some even family. He truly valued you and your support, as does my husband Kevin and I.
At the time of his first diagnosis, my father started to plan his retirement. He had Kevin and I become part owners of BBack Car Care. His plan was to retire at 65 and Kevin and I would become full owners of the business. This plan is still in place, however, the timeline had moved up and sadly my dad will not be able to enjoy that retirement with my mother.
We want our customers to know that BBack Car Care will remain fully operational. Our team will continue to provide the same level of service, value, and to help you ‘love your car again’ just as my dad would’ve wanted. We appreciate your continued support and hope that if you have any questions you will contact us.
The Back family will receive family and friends on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave (at Sandy Ridge Rd) New Britain. His interment will be held privately.
